Hello! We'd like to introduce you to some of the key members within our Bodycare Team at Bentleys Motor Group. As you will soon learn quite a few of our employees have worked with us for many years...
I started working at Bentleys as an Apprentice Panel Beater and Painter 38 years ago. Since joining I have continued to work hard and gradually progressed up the ladder and in 1995 I was promoted to Office Manager. Now I manage a small team and am responsible for the day-to-day running of the bodyshop.
I would consider that one of my proudest achievements is creating the team that I now work with. We provide an excellent standard of workmanship which is not only reflected in the repair work we carry out but also through the feedback we receive from our customers.
I have to say that the thing I enjoy the most about working at Bentleys is the people. It has become like my second family over years and to see my team get recognition from a job well done is extremely rewarding.
For the last 14 years I have worked within the Bodyshop team at Bentleys as an Estimate and Workshop Controller. This involves inspecting any vehicles that need body work, either as a result of an accident, incident or because the owner simply wants to change the look of their vehicle. Based on this I can put together a quote for the cost of labour and parts to fix or replace the vehicles and estimate the salvage value of the total vehicle loss.
Over the years thanks to the training I’ve received, I have successfully completed the Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) and am Audatex accredited.
I work with some fantastic people and have made some great friendships over the years which means we have a really good social life outside of work too which makes working at Bentleys even more fun. I would even go as far as to say that I look forward to coming into work each day.
I began working at Bentleys over 9 years ago as a Bodyshop Administrator and am primarily responsible for ensuring that the workshop is running as efficiently as possible. This involves producing estimates for damaged vehicles, ordering the correct parts, booking the required work in with the team and raising the invoices once the job is complete to ensure accurate budget recording.
I love that my role enables me to constantly learn new skills and keep up-to-date with new products which is very important in this job.
What makes my job even more enjoyable is that that all the staff at Bentleys are friendly and we work really well together. I appreciate the opportunities Bentleys has given me over the years and look forward to my future with the company.
