Featuring an all-new robust design unveiled at the New York International Auto Show, the fifth-generation Toyota RAV4 will be coming to Bentleys Toyota in Warrington in 2019. Promising to deliver an unparalleled driving experience unlike any RAV4 that has gone before it, this latest iteration of the classic SUV will be available in Limited, Adventure, and XSE Hybrid editions.
The SUV market is one of the most popular and highly populated of any automotive sector. To ensure that the new RAV4 is able to stand apart from the competition, Toyota has adopted a policy of adding a touch of finesse to the design. The latest iteration, therefore, is noticeable for the carefully chiseled appearance that appears more dynamic and athletic. Plus, by standing on the 19-inch wheels, the model certainly makes its presence fault.
Like all new models from the manufacturer, the new RAV4 implements the marque’s Toyota New Global Architecture platform for improved driveability. And, when choosing between the different model types, you will be able to notice subtle changes in appearance, such as the high-rise roof rails on the Adventure, and the Piano Black accents of the XSE Hybrid.
Refinement has arguably been the watchword for the design of the RAV4’s cabin. The carefully considered arrangement of the dashboard embraces an uncomplicated look, providing easy access to the key vehicle controls, and the ergonomic seating has been tailored to provide exceptional comfort throughout.
Rear seat passengers can benefit from an impressive level of legroom, with an optional panoramic roof helping increase the sense of space further by injecting natural light into the cabin. Plus, with a split 60:40 folding rear seat opening up additional storage space for the already cavernous boot, there is plenty of practicality housed within the new Toyota RAV4.
Performance in the new RAV4 comes via two engine options. The first, a Dynamic Force 2.5-litre inline-four-cylinder engine is paired with an eight-speed Direct Shift Automatic Transmission for smooth and responsive motoring, with all-wheel-drive adding to the sense of power delivered by the model.
Of course, the headline engine is the Dynamic Force 2.5-litre inline-four-cylinder Toyota Hybrid System II (THS II) engine. Working with Electronically-Controlled Continuously-Variable Transmission, the model is able to increase the level of torque by up to 30 percent compared to current hybrid engines, enhancing the capability and pulling power of the model.
All models in the Toyota RAV4 lineup come packed with technology to enhance your driving experience. The Entune 3.0 multimedia system connects to your smartphone via Apple CarPlay and can be operated via a seven-inch colour touchscreen on the dashboard. There is also up to five USB ports and optional Qi wireless charging functionality available.
For those looking for entertainment of the highest quality, the JBL audio system includes 11 speakers throughout the vehicle.
The all-new Toyota RAV4 is almost certain, like past iterations, to appeal to motorists with a family. As such, having the very best safety technology is vital. With the RAV4, you can be confident of complete protection, with the Toyota Safety Sense system providing a suite of safety measures that work to support you throughout your driving.
Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, and Road Sign Assist all provide you with alerts and assistance to help avoid accidents and more, while passive measures such as airbags help limit any damage in the event of an incident.
You can find out more about the new Toyota RAV4 when the vehicle comes to Bentleys Toyota in Warrington early next year.
